Jamaican Jerk Wet Marinade Ingredients

Jamaican Jerk Chicken Wet Marinade

Ingredients

  • Wet Ingredients
  • ½ cup soy sauce

  • ¼ cup oil

  • ¼ cup beer

  • Dry Ingredients
  • 64 grams escallion

  • 6 cloves garlic

  • 2 whole Scotch bonnet Peppers

  • 16 grams ginger

  • 6 grams pimento seed

  • 1 teaspoon thyme

  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg

  • 2 pimento leaves

  • 1½ tablespoon salt

  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

  • 1 teaspoon sugar

Directions

  • Blend everything together for about 20 seconds and you’re done.

Notes

  • To convert to a Jamaican wet jerk rub, keep the same jerk marinade recipe ingredients but DRINK THE BEER instead of pouring into the blender 😉 And instead of blending, use a food processor or mortar and pestle so that your jerk seasoning has more chunks, which is how we like it in Jamaica!
